1998 - Present- Pinnacle Leadership Group, Inc., Scottsdale,
Arizona. Larry Bonine is the founder and owner of this company
that is dedicated to bringing Project Management and Partnering
excellence to companies and projects worldwide. He conducts
seminars and workshops in Leadership, Project Management,
Negotiation, Strategic Thinking and Team Development.
1993 - 1998 Director, Arizona Department of Transportation.
Served the Governor and State of Arizona in all transportation
matters. The department's 5000 employees managed the largest
infrastructure program in the state's history during a time
of unprecedented growth. Generally recognized as having the
premiere Partnering program in the U.S. he gained national
renown as a public speaker and crusader for innovative government
and Partnering. While ADOT Director, Larry was a leader in
the national and regional organizations of the American Associations
of State and Highway Officials (AASHTO) and the Western Association
of State and Highway Officials.
AS Chairman of the AASHTO standing committee on Quality,
Larry was recognized as a national public sector change agent
and teacher. Through his leadership, the committee caused
many state Departments of Transportation to move toward modern
management philosophies.
In addition to authoring many articles on Partnering and
public sector management innovations, he is a much sought
after keynote and workshop speaker across the United States
and Great Britain. He was featured in and on the cover of
Engineering News-Record as being an evangelistic change agent
and innovator.
1991 - 1993 Central Artery/Tunnel Project, Boston. Area Construction
Manager and Partnering Program Manager. Initiated and developed
the initial Partnering Program on the project. Trained Project
Engineers in communication and negotiation skills
1990 - 1991 Wisdom Associates, Inc. Stuart, Florida. Vice
President. Client development, environmental permitting.
1988 - 1990 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Alabama
District Engineer. Colonel Bonine was the Chief Executive
Officer responsible for the military construction program
at 19 Army, 14 Air Force, 1 Navy and 3 NASA installations
in the southeastern United States, El Salvador, Honduras and
the US Defense areas in Panama. Additionally he was responsible
for Federal water resources projects within portions of Mississippi,
Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. His principal duties
involved executing an engineering and construction program
in excess of $1.0 billion and providing leadership to over
2000 Federal employees at 40 locations. He is credited with
pioneering two significant programs gaining national recognition
in the construction industry today:
Partnering, a revolutionary new concept between owners and
contractors that has since been embraced not only Corps wide
but nationally.
Life Cycle Project Management, a system that has become the
method of management for all major Corps projects.
1986 - 1988 U. S. Army Facilities Engineer Activities, Korea.
Commander. As CEO of this 5000-person agency, Colonel Bonine
was responsible to the Theater Commander - in - Chief for
the construction, operation and maintenance of all army facilities
in the theater. He managed a billion dollar design and construction
budget
1981 - 1985 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Arkansas
District Engineer - Lieutenant Colonel Bonine was responsible
for water resource development in Arkansas and Missouri.
1964 - 1981 U. S. Army. U.S. Army Officer. Various assignments
and schools resulting in a 26-year career in the Corps of
Engineers.
